While we're sure it was exciting for him to learn that he earned a spot on the 2007 Feed National League All-Star Team, Wednesday was still a tough one for Barry Bonds. His son Nikolai, a Giants bat boy, will likely be out of uniform when his papa breaks Hank Aaron's home run record thanks to a torn ligament he suffered in a basketball game last week. Nikolai is expected to make a full recovery but there's a chance his father won't do the same when his ex-lover Kimberly Bell releases a book about their time together.
"Kimberly has never talked about her sex life with Barry," says her Phoenix-based agent, David Hans Schmidt. "And believe me, there's plenty to tell."
Like maybe something related to studies that show performance-enhancing drugs don't enhance every performance?
"I'm not going there," says Schmidt, who has producers and editors vying for the rights to a book, article and nude pictorial.
We're betting that Bell will go there in any book or article, however. Bell testified in the BALCO case, telling them Bonds said a 1999 elbow injury was a result of steroid use, and is offering to share that testimony in her proposal. She's said in the past that Bonds gave her $80,000 from an autograph signing to use as a down payment for a house she was buying meaning that it will cost the American public a lot less than it cost Bonds to catch a glimpse of Bell's naked body.
