In a weekend with a championship fight the only guy to get bloodied in an athletic endeavor was Steve Nash. He collided with Tony Parker late in yesterday's 111-106 San Antonio win and missed most of the final minute because of it. They ran into each other after a Parker steal with two minutes and change to play but Nash stayed in the contest initially and hit a three to tie the score at 102. Tim Duncan and Parker each hit shots before a Nash layup and with the score 106-104 and the Suns holding the ball Nash had to leave the game because the bleeding got worse. He came back with nine seconds to play but the Spurs had already built their winning margin with free throws. Duncan and Parker combined for 65 points for San Antonio while Nash had 31 and six stitches to show for a valiant losing effort.
- If the Suns and Spurs played a game that exhibited the best of offensive basketball, the Cavaliers and Nets showed off the worst of it. Cleveland shot just 40.2% but still pulled out an 81-77 win to remain unbeated in the postseason. They did it by holding the Nets to 37% shooting and outrebounding them 51-37 which kept New Jersey from running and getting easy buckets. LeBron scored 21 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished seven assists and blocked a shot with under 10 seconds to play to cement the win.
There is no conversation more boring that the one where everybody agrees.

People exaggerate the value of things they haven't got: everybody worships truth and unselfishness because they have no experience with them.
