The last post was about an early NBA mock draft. The fifth pick was Yi Jian Lian of China, a seven-footer who the Hoops Addict guys called a big man that would go with the perimeter players like Gerald Wallace and Adam Morrison already in Charlotte. Chad Ford of ESPN compares him to Toni Kukoc, though, which would only exacerbate a logjam on the wings. He also says that he's probably closer to 23 than the listed 20 but that's not really what's important. What's important is that while I was watching a couple of videos of Yi Jian Lian to get a handle on what kind of player he is, he does appear to be a bit slight for the post game in the NBA, I came across this video. The dulcet tones of Jesse McCartney (and yes I did have to look that up) accompany a highlight film of Chinese Basketball Association action in a way that can only make sense to those from the Guangdong province. To this American it just comes across as something that Tim Hardaway's gotta despise.
With a Beautiful wife:

Wow. It's not every day you see one Chinese person dominating other Chinese people.
At least, not without paying a pretty penny in Times Square.
